About NAFIS
The National Association of Federally Impacted Schools (NAFIS) represents the 1,200-plus federally impacted school districts that together educate over 10 million students. Federally impacted school districts are those on or near nontaxable Federal land—including military installations; Indian Trust, Treaty and Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act lands; Federal low-income housing facilities; and national parks, national laboratories and other Federal buildings and property—that receive Impact Aid.
For more than 40 years, the National Association of Federally Impacted Schools (NAFIS) has been the voice of the Impact Aid community before Congress and the Administration. Learn more about our work by reading our annual report.
